Question:
Hello, I have a blue and white, flask?, blue colbalt flower. Moon shaped, salt glazed with exception of smaller area on the back for firing. Height 8 inches. Width 6 inches. Thickness 1 inch aprox. Trumpet shaped mouth opening. I researched at the library and on the internet, but can not find another like it. The unglazed portion which is aprox. 3 1/2 inch round area appears to resemble redware. The flask seems to be from the same circa as my blue and white 5 gal. bee sting crock. No markings. Could someone please help. I am at a loss. Thank you, Lori

Answer: Lori, I have never seen a flask such as yours. It is not Red Wing and from your photos, I cannot tell if it is a newer or older piece of stoneware. With this being said, I just have no idea of a value. Sorry I was of little help. Al Kohlman
