Hi, can you please look at this crock on ebay item number 250035397824 You have to look in completed listings. This seller often has these and sells them as Red Wing. I don’t care about the value, I just am asking about authenticity. I think they come from Asia, but I am not an expert. Thank you so very much. -Kathryn Shaw

Answer: Kathryn, after looking at the photo you sent me, I don’t need to see it on Ebay. This crock is not Red Wing. This type of problem can be found not only on Ebay, but at Flea Markets and Antique Shops. Because nice and rare pieces of Red Wing can demand a high value, a few people will use the name "Red Wing" in hopes of obtaining a high price for their pieces. Therefore it is important to know what you are purchasing and if in doubt, do a little research before deciding to buy the piece. Al Kohlman
