Question:
I have a lid with a five point star around the handle and was told it was Red Wing. There are no markings. The outside diameter measures 9 1/2 inches. It has an inside lip that measures 7 inches. The outside seems to be glazed but the inside isn’t. I would just like to know if this was a lid made by Red Wing. If it was, could you tell me the approximate age? Thank you.

Answer: Sorry, but your lid is not North Star. I have seen these lids before, they where mostly manufactured by some other mid-western stoneware company. Al Kohlman
