I found a bee hive jug on ebay. they say it is salt glazed 2 gal. with tornado emblem onit plus reads return to james fee &bros rochester, ny.can you tell me anything about this. we just collection about 4 months ago. thank you tigger. 39,

Answer: Trigger, 39. I did not see this piece on EBay, but with New York advertising, I do not believe it was manufactured by the Red Wing Stoneware Company. I know of no pieces of Red Wing which have New York advertising. There where too many potteries between Minnesota and New York that would have been much easier to contract with. If it is Red Wing that you want, I would steer clear of this piece. There are ussually a small number of sellers on EBay that will use the title "Red Wing" in order to sell there piece of stoneware. This is do to the high number of Red Wing collectors and the value Red Wing Stoneware can demand. Al Kohlman
