Question:
I have a Christmas Tree Holder. It is stoneware. On one side of the holder "Christmas Tree Holder" is glazed in blue. On the opposite side, in a rectangular blue box is "Patent Applied For," and above it in an oval blue shape is, "Red Wing, Union Stonewrae Co.,Red Wing, Minn." I would like to sell it. How much should I ask and where does one go to sell these, other than EBay. Thank you. Amy Jo Reimer Myers

Answer: Amy Jo. You have a very nice piece of Red Wing. Is it in Mint condition? This means no chips, cracks or hairlines. If Mint the value can range from $700 to $1000. Any damage can greatly reduce it’s value. If you do not want to sell it on EBay, you could list it on Craig’s List. Or if a member of the Red Wing Collectors Society, you could place it for sale in the Red Wing Society’s Newsletter the editor is Rick Natynski and you can email him at newsletter@redwingcollectors.org. Good Luck! Al Kohlman
