Question:
I have a complete set of Random Harvest dinnerware, including completer pieces, platters, creamer/sugar, vegetable plate. This is a 12 place setting. Need to sell and was wondering price. It is in very good condition. Michelle

Answer: I can provide some general information about Random Harvest but will not be able to give an estimated value for this collection because I do not know what items are included. The terms complete set, completer pieces and place setting are not useful in describing a collection of dinnerware because individuals can have very different interpretations of their meaning. An itemized list is needed to estimate a collection’s value. A photo helps as well.

The Random Harvest pattern sold well in its day and is quite plentiful today. There are collectors of this pattern but in my opinion the supply is greater than the demand, so prices are relatively soft. Common place setting items such as plates, bowls, cups and saucers are worth $5-15 each. Common accessory items like salt & pepper shakers, sugar, creamer, vegetable dish, relish dish, and platters are worth $15-25. Less common accessories such as the casserole, gravy boat, and butter dish are in the $25-40 range. And the large 12” salad bowl, trivet, pitchers, beverage server and teapot are worth $40-100. All values assume excellent undamaged condition.
