Question:
have a redwing plate that is square round about 10” across it is off white with a white flower (gardenia, or magnolia??) and green leaves on it . on the bottom is red wing pottery handpainted. What kind of plate is this/ and is it worth anything? My mom got it as a shower gift in 1955. Thanks Patti

Answer: From your description it appears you have a dinner plate from the Magnolia dinnerware pattern. The pattern sold well and is easily found today. In excellent condition a Magnolia dinner plate is worth around $15-20. Any damage or staining reduces the value considerably.
