Question:
I have a 12 inch oval stoneware/casserole dish without a lid grove. It is rust glazed on the casserole dish and the exterior is the beige earthenware color. Red Wing Provincial Ware 25 is stamped into the side of the dish. I went on your site but saw no Red Wing that was a casserole dish Would appreciate knowing some info and possible value of this item Thanks Kristina

ANSWER: The Red Wing Provincial Cooking Ware brochure lists item #25 as a 9” x 2” oval baking dish. This piece is an open dish with no cover. Provincial Cooking Ware was a set of baking dishes produced in the early 1940s; no tableware such as plates and bowls were included. Most collectors have little interest in cook ware sets so values are rather low. Value for this dish would be $10-15 in excellent condition.
