Question:

I have Chrysantheum Dishes in good condition:

1 serving vegtable bowl

1 serving plate

4 Dinner plates

2 small desert bowls

10 Bread/butter plates

Can you give me a value? Others have chips & I assume they have no value & should be tossed out.

Please advise, Terri taylor

Answer: Damaged dinnerware pieces definitely have much less value than mint items, although they probably aren’t completely worthless. Somebody might be interested in them at a low price to fill gaps in their collection until mint replacements can be found. It depends on the item in question and the extent of the damage. Collectors might accept less common pieces (such as teapots and pitchers) with minor damage, but damaged plates and bowls won’t draw much interest.

Estimated values for your Chrysanthemum items, assuming excellent condition:
Vegetable bowl (nappy): $20-30
Serving plate (platter??): $20-30
Dinner plate: $15-20
Small bowl: $5-10
Bread & butter plate: $5-10
