Question:
I purchased a Red Wing teapot today without a lid. The teapot is shaped exactly like the Bob White pattern teapot but this one has a brown spinning wheel and a teal blue rug on one side of the teapot and on the other side is a gold eagle and a gold and blue oil lamp. I would like to know the pattern and if there is a location I could purchase a lid. Thank you. Bonnie
Answer: The name of this pattern is Hearthside and like Bob White it is made in the Casual shape. Hearthside teapots are not easy to find. Unfortunately I do not know where a spare Hearthside teapot cover might be found. Searching for missing parts can be both rewarding and frustrating. We have teapots purchased 25 years ago that still don’t have the right cover. Covers tend to get lost or broken more frequently than bottoms, so spare covers of any kind are scarce. A Bob White teapot cover could be substituted but the colors are not an exact match. Good luck in your search!
