Question:
This is a tea set with tea pot, sugar dish and creamer. There is a cracked handle on the teapot that has been re-glued. The number on the bottom of the teapot is #261, the sugar dish is #262, and the creamer if #263. This set was given to my mother by a neighbor in Chicago, IL around 1954. That is all the information I have. Thanks

I’l pass this on to our dinnerware expert. thanks, steve n rose

Answer: Your tea set is one of three tea sets Red Wing made in the mid-1940s. These tea sets don’t match any of the dinnerware patterns. The antiqued white color and the design of your tea set resemble the Magnolia art pottery line, But the 261 shape number falls immediately after the last known shape number in the Gypsy Trail dinnerware line. Most likely these were three stand-alone tea sets that were sold as giftware. None of these sets is rare, but they aren’t especially common either. This tea set in clean, undamaged condition would be worth $50-75.
