Question:
Hi, again, RWCS- I have a turquoise glazed container. The bottom reads Red Wing Pottery, Inc. Pristine condition. I’m told it may be worth up to $250. Is there any truth to this? Thank you. Amber
Answer: The item in the photo is a casserole from the Gypsy Trail Hostess Ware line. It was made in the early 1940s and was one of several similarly shaped pieces called "Streamlined" by Red Wing. Streamlined casseroles are scarce but they aren’t selling for $250. The more realistic value for a Streamlined casserole in mint condition would be in the range of $50-75.
