Question:
I have inherited what appears to be a complete 12 place setting of Spruce dinnerware (12 each large and small plates, cups, saucers, bowls, with 2 platters, 2 serving dishes with handles, a tea/coffee pot, and sugar bowel and creamer. Do you know what the best souce of price / value information might be for this set and anyone else I should talk to for more information? — thank you very much Don
Answer: Spruce is a popular pattern with collectors. The shapes are unusual and have a space-age look to them. Perhaps it was too modern for the late 1950s as it did not sell well and is quite difficult to find today.
