Question:
The below picture is one of many pieces I have that were my mothers. It comes from a complete set, i.e plates, cups saucers etc. for a service for eight. They all have the same print. I believe my mother bought these in the early 1960′s. Can you tell me more about the patten and what my pieces are worth. Thanks for your help. Larry

Answer: The Bob White pattern was introduced in 1954 and remained in production until Red Wing Potteries closed in 1967. Bob White was Red Wing’s best selling dinnerware pattern and it remains a classic today. There are many collectors of Bob White today, but there was also a LOT of Bob White made. Common pieces such as plates and cup & saucers aren’t very valuable because there are so many of them available. They are worth $5 to $15. Even less common pieces like the 24" bread tray and the cookie jar can be easily found. I would need a list of the items in your set in order to provide an estimate of the value. The term "complete set" can have very different meanings to different people and does not provide an accurate description.
