Hi, this Red Wing pottery cookie jar was my great aunts. Red Wing marking on the bottom. There are no chips or cracks. Curious on the value. Thanks! Janet

Answer: This is a cookie jar from the Fondoso dinnerware pattern. It is one of four matching jars or canisters; the others were Sugar, Flour and Coffee. The Fondoso pattern was made for several years in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Today these jars are very desirable and highly sought by collectors. I haven’t seen enough of these sell recently to establish a current value. But if this cookie jar is in excellent condition I’d estimate it to be worth $150 to $250, maybe more to the right buyer.
