Question:
I would appreciate it if any one could tell who’s markings this is, I have had it for about 25 years. Periwinkle in color, stands appx.8",appx. 25.75" around the widest part and glazed on the inside as well. The marking on the bottom are what I believe to be an arrowhead with #s under it, unsure if the #s are, 1000 or maybe 1800, the marking are not very visable so I have layed a piece of wax paper over them and used a pencile to bring out the marking. Thank you I have want to know for along time, my mom gave it to me. Roberta

Answer: The markings are not familiar to me. This is not a Red Wing dinnerware cookie jar, but Red Wing made stoneware cookie jars similar in shape. But to my knowledge not in a blue glaze.
