I have a Red Wing pottery piece known as the Dutch woman tea pot and I want to know what is the rarity/desirability and range of possible value? The height is about 7 1/2", width 9", color is mint green, and the condition is good. There is a hair line crack on the front of the tea pot. The number 260 is on the bottom. rarity/desirability and the range w the Dutch
Answer: This teapot was introduced as part of the Gypsy Trail Hostess Ware line in 1944 and made for a year or two. Most remaining Gypsy Trail production ceased around the end of World War II. The Dutch Woman teapot is desirable but not rare despite the brief production period. In mint condition a green Dutch Woman teapot would sell for $75 to $125. The crack will decrease the value significantly, probably by about half. The decrease depends on the visibility, size and location of the crack.
