Question:
my aunt has a set of four hand painted dinnerware the plates are square rounded on the edges with a branch and green leaf and a whiteish gray flower # 2115 USA is under the emblem. the coffee cups are dark green, white inside cant find a number but same emblem. the smaller plates have the #236.we would like to know how old they are and how collectable they are Thank You, Jill

Answer,
Sorry but I am unable to identify the pattern from the description provided. The square shape with rounded edges leads me to believe you have a pattern in the Concord shape. There are nearly 20 patterns in the Concord shape and most of them have a floral theme. Magnolia or Lotus have a whitish-gray flower but not dark green cups. Patterns with dark green cups (Blossom Time, Chrysanthemum, Zinnia, Morning Glory Pink) do not have whitish-gray flowers. The ink-stamped numbers on the bottom of dinnerware pieces do not identify the pattern; they are merely lot or batch codes.

The earliest Concord patterns were introduced in 1941 and the last Concord pattern was discontinued in 1957. All Red Wing dinnerware is collectible to some degree, but some patterns hold more interest for collectors than others.

To confirm your pattern type you can visit www.RedWingDinnerware.com and view the master index.
