Question:
I found this in a shed at my mothers house. I noticed it does have a Redwing mark. I have looked on the internet and I have had no luck. Do you know what this is and when it was made? Thanks, Carol

Answer: You have a vase decorated with the Lotus dinnerware pattern. In 1952 Red Wing introduced a series of hand painted vases and planters to go along with three of their dinnerware patterns: Lotus, Magnolia and Blossom Time. These pieces do not appear in dinnerware brochures or price lists but are listed with Red Wing’s art pottery lines. These vases and planters are not rare but they can be difficult to find. The value of this particular vase would be around $50.
