Question:
I have Pink Spice dinnerware available. All in excellent condition except as noted. Pls give me an idea of the worth: dinner plates – 8 bread & butter (Or salad) plates – 6 fuit or cereal bows – 5 (2 have chip on lug) saucers – 5 cofee cups (solid green to match set) – 3 serving bowls, 7" – 2 serving bowl, 9" – 1 large serving platter,12" – 1 Thank you very much for any help.

Answer: Solid colored pieces in Pink Spice were available in two shades — bright pink and a darker lavender shade. A 1954 price list shows the names of these colors as Dawn Pink and Shell Pink, but I’ve never been able to determine which name belongs to which shade.

Here is another example where a photo is needed to determine the identity of your dinnerware. Your green cups are not Pink Spice. They might be sage green cups from Capistrano (a sister pattern to Pink Spice) or they might be something else. But Pink Spice cups are not green.

The estimates below are approximate values for Pink Spice dinnerware in excellent condition. Damage reduces the value by at least half. If your dishes are not Pink Spice then these values do not apply.

Dinner plate: $10-20
Bread & butter or salad plate: $5-10
Fruit/sauce bowl: $5-10
Cereal bowl: $10-15
Saucer: $5-7
Cup: $5-7
7" bowl: $10-15
9" bowl: $15-20
13" platter: $20-25
