Question:
My son has a Chef Pierre cookie jar (blue) and the top was broken. Is there ever a chance that one could find another top for it? Also….I was born and raised in Red Wing so have several pottery pieces. One was a chamber pot with a lid that was decorated with flowers. It is many, many, many years old. I have never seen another like it and wondered if there is value to it. Sorry I don’t have a picture of it right now.
Answer: There is always a chance you will come across a blue Chef cookie jar top that is missing the bottom. Many of these jars were made over the years, and occasionally somebody lists on eBay a top or a base without the other piece. Another possibility would be to look for a complete jar with a good top but damaged base; these usually sell quite inexpensively.
Sorry but I can’t help you with the chamber pot. It’s a stoneware piece, not dinnerware. But most likely our stoneware expert would need additional details (size, shape, design description, condition, company mark) or a photo of the piece in order to address your question.
