Question:
I would like to know what the design on this bowl is called and what they value might be since it has a small chip on bottom the inside is perfect. It also has a wing on the bottom with the words redwing and handpainted written like they are part of the wing. under that it says USA and the numbers are either 260 or 280. Thank you in advance, Laura

Answer: Your bowl is from the Random Harvest dinnerware pattern, produced from the mid-1950s through the end of Red Wing production in 1967. This pattern is quite easy to find today and the supply seems to be greater than the demand for most pieces. Similarly shaped bowls were made in several sizes, from a small sauce dish to a nappy (serving bowl). From the information provided I cannot determine the size of your bowl. In excellent condition these bowls would be worth $10 to $25, depending on which size you have. The chip will significantly reduce the value, down to a couple of dollars up to around $10 to $15. The larger and more distracting the chip, the greater the reduction in value.
