Question:
We are moving interstate and trying to downsize. Wondered about the value of this little teapot and if someone would be interested in adding to their collection (Redwing 547 engraved in bottom). Thanks so much, Val.

Answer: You Red Wing 547 pitcher was introduced in the mid-1930s as part of the Gypsy Trail line of dinnerware. It was made for at least 10 years, and probably longer. It holds about 64 oz of liquid (2 quarts) and in various catalogs over the years it was called a ball pitcher, water pitcher, water jug and tilt pitcher. The #547 pitcher was made in a wide variety of colors. This pitcher was also made for RumRill and thus can be found in several art pottery colors besides the numerous Gypsy Trail colors. In excellent condition your yellow pitcher would be worth $25-$40.
