Question:
Hi, I am selling this 121 pc set of Village Green dinnerware and have tried to get some idea of how much these pieces might be worth. I have found some, but cannot find prices for all pieces. Some pieces have chips, do they have any value? I understand you will provide an estimate only, I’d appreciate it. Thanks. Lonnie

Answer: Lonnie, That’s a lot of Village Green! You have many common serving pieces (bowls and plates). While they certainly have value, they are not as valuable as the harder to find accessory pieces and in general can be more difficult to sell.

It’s difficult to ascertain exactly what you have because there are so many pieces stacked close together a small photo. Here are approximate values for your Village Green items as best I can determine from the photo:

Dinner plate: $15
Salad plate: $10
Cereal bowl: $15
Platter: $25
Mug: $15
Pitcher 10 cup: $25 to $35
Salt & Pepper: $15 pair
Sugar & Creamer: $30 set
Vegetable bowl: $25 to $35

The values above assume excellent condition. Chips, cracks, hairlines and other damage reduce the value by half or more. Common pieces with damage aren’t worth much when the same piece can easily be found in excellent condition.

You also seem to have a few brown bowls and plates mixed in with the green ones. They are from the hard to find Village Brown pattern, and are worth at least double the values listed above.
