Question:
I have a pink glazed compote(?), with flecks. The marking on the bottom is Red Wing U.S.A. 1582. THe size is approx 11" long, 6/5" at highest point, 4" wide and 3" deep inside. It looks like an oval bowl with 1 end curved up, and the other curved down.Do you know how old it is, what is used for and the value, please? I’m sorry, but my photo won’t upload. Thanks Beth
Answer: Hi Beth
it’s actually a console bowl. It was designed around 1957, the glaze is called fleck zephyr pink, and it has a value of around 25.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
