Question:
My husband’s mother gave us this Red Wing that she has had for many years. She said she was told it was made from the orignal red wing mold that was purchased by Hutchsons Pottery. Can you verify any of this and what would be the value? Thank you, Dawn

Answer: Hi Dawn

it is a red wing shape, the winged ashtray. After the factory closed, Hutchinson did reuse some of the Red Wing molds in a pottery of his own. this would be one of those items. Still kind of neat, a lot of his items don’t show up. It would be from the late 60′s, Red Wing closed in 1967. Value is around 75.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
