Question:
just bought a red wing pot–it’s abt. 12" tall and has kind of an iridescent amber/purple-y/goldy glaze outside (and just below the neck looks mostly "real" gold color), solid amber color inside. on bottom: RED WING, U.S.A., 918 (3 lines). it doesn’t look particularly old and has some water spots i haven’t figured out how to make disappear. thanks!
Answer: This vase is from 1965. The glaze is called bronze/lined with tahitian gold, part of the bronze line, being the largest pieces. Value around $80-$100 each. thanks, steve n rose
