Question:
I have one medium blue colored vase that is approx. 7 inches tall. It has little looped handles on both sides, and small faded white spots…that look something like the old "pac-man" symbol! It is in perfect condition and has the markings on the bottom RED WING 891. The scalloped opening at he top is approx. three and a half inches wide. We found it the other day in a old shop, as my wife thinks she wants to start collecting this named brand item. We don’t have anyway to send a picture, sorry

Answer: Welcome to Red Wing collecting! The vase dates to the late 1930′s. The glaze is called dutch blue, it has a blue background white "spots". Red Wing made more shapes than I can count, and is all over the country. Value si around 65.00. thanks, steve n rose
