Question:
I found a top hat in a thrift store and was wondering how to identify it as Red Wing if it is not marked. The hat is 4 1/4 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches at the widest part of the brim. The glaze is a very light yellow or cream color and the bottom is solid glaze with the three tripod marks. Could you tell me the value if it should be Red Wing? Thank you
Answer: hello, Red Wing did make a top hat shape, they are usually marked, look closely under the glaze. Value is about 40.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
