Question:
I have a piece a picked up at a yard sale a few years ago. I believe it is a large vase. It is dull not shiny. It is green with gold and has leaves. It is not a flat design. There are indentations. It is about 11 inches tall. The opening is about 4 inches across. The bottom has an oval mark that Reads Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing Minn. It is a little rough on the bottom edge like there is a little ding on the edge in one spot. Can you tell me anything about this?

Answer: This is Red Wing brushware, circa 1931. It is shape #137, this being the largest of three sizes. The glaze looks to be dark green. The ding may hurt it a little, but it should have a value of 120.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
