Is this a Red Wing piece? Can you tell me anything about? I have a picture of the mark on the bottom, but could not seem to send with the picture of the pot. it seems to be a flower with 812 and what looks like S M The mark on the cheek is reflected light, not a mark on the pot.

Answer: Hello, it’s not Red Wing, but I think it may be a Rookwood piece. Their mark is an "R" with marks above it, or flames. The number would be the shape and SM is the artist. Hand decorated, and very desireable by collectors with the native american portrait. If you can, send another pic of the bottom, and I will be able to say for sure.
