Question:
I have a Red Wing Vase number 1175 U.S.A.with an oriental lady holding a flower on her chest. There are two tubes on either side of her for flowers. She is in light blue glaze and the rest is a gray rough pottery. The inside of the vase is glazed in a wine color as is the bottom of the vase. Stands 10 3/4. Could you give me a value and history? Thank you in Advance. Irene

Answer: Irene, This item is from circa 1942. Think there are around seven different shapes with this glaze, called Engobe. Charles Murphy designed them. Haven’t seen any of these sell for awhile, but they are very desireable items. Value is around 400.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
