Question:
I have a Swan Vase that has the number 257 on the bottom and there is a blue stamp that says ??? Art Pottery in blue. The top part is smudged – but I was told this might be a Red Wing piece. It is a white glaze, 6-3/4″ tall – about 6-1/4″ wide. The base is 3-1/2″ wide.
Answer: This is indeed a Red Wing item. This is an early artware piece from the 1930s. It sounds like your glaze is matte white. Value is around $50-$60 in perfect condition. Thanks, steve n rose
