Question:
I have a piece of pottery that has an impression on the underside that reads: RED WING 899 It is green inside and out with a smooth glaze (excluding the bottom) and is only about 4.25" tall x 4" wide. I have looked on the internet a bit, but never seen it pictured or described. I found it at an estate sale about 20 years ago or so. I have never seen anything descibed that small. Could it really be Red Wing or do you suspect it is something else? Thank you Teresa.

Answer: Teresa, your vase is indeed made by Red Wing. Circa 1939, part of a group of "whatnots", small minature vases. The glaze is most likely Ocean Green, and the value around $50.00 thanks, steve n rose
