Red Wing, MN – The Red Wing Collectors Society is excited to release their 2011 Convention Education Schedule and Speaker information.
The RWCS 35th Annual Convention officially kicks off on Thursday, July 7th with the General Session featuring Keynote Dr. Ronald Schirmer from Mankato State University. He will be presenting the ancient pottery of Red Wing – its construction methods, decorations, and the roles it played in the culture.
Friday, July 8th will be Education Day at the Convention. The presentation lineup has something for every collector. Presentation topics include:

A special guest speaker and late addition to the line up is Hannes Kuehn. Hannes was a molder and designer at Red Wing Pottery in the 1950′s. He will be giving a narrative presentation about his "Recollections of Working at the Pottery"
