Your Red Wing canteen is a reproduction and has little to no value (other than what it cost new) to collectors. Original Red Wing stoneware items never had a wing in their oval only words. This is one way of identifying the reproductions. It would be nice if these new companies would place a date in these new ovals or stamps so new collectors would not confused by someone selling these reproductions as older pieces. Al Kohlman
