Al, I have a question about a jug I have, it’s a Red Wing 4 gallon bee hive jug marked by a "4" but has no other markings. Just wondering about approx. value and age? It is in very good shape with no cracks or chips but some flaws in the glazing proccess (looks like splits in the glaze). Thanks for the help. Cole

Answer: Cole, these Red Wing beehives with just the gallon-age number on them have a value between $200 & $225. With no decorations or advertising the values are just not that high. Put together a nice set with a 3, 4 & 5, they can be somewhat striking in a nice stoneware setting. Also, zinc glazed beehives were produced between 1895 & 1917. Al Kohlman
