Question:
I just purchased this crock from an antique show, and I’m wondering if it’s actually a Red Wing product or a fake? It’s a 4 gallon crock, the wing is a little less than 2 inches, and the oval seems to say "Fatteries, Inc" though it could be a poorly written "Potteries, Inc." The man who sold it to me also mentioned that the lip flared out more than other Red Wing crocks. Thanks for your help! Krista

Answer: Krista, you do indeed have a vintage Red Wing 4 gallon crock. It was manufactured between 1936 & 1947. The oval would read "Potteries Inc". Al Kohlman
