Question:
I have a red/white spittoon that is 6"H x 9 3/4"W. It has no marks on the bottom. There are two hairline cracks at the lip that both go through to the other side. One crack is about 2" and the other one is about 2.5". Is this Red Wing? What is it worth? Thanks Bret

Answer: Bret, the shape of your spittoon looks like it could be Red Wing, but photos can be hard to judge. This would be one of those pieces that I really would need to see in person to be sure it is indeed Red Wing. But for the sake of calling it Red Wing, the two hairlines would hurt it’s value quite a bit. With the hairlines and if it is indeed Red Wing, the value would be $100 to $150. If not Red Wing, maybe $30 or so. Al Kohlman
