Question:
Hello, We have a 2 1/2 ft. tall Union Red Wing Stoneware butter churn (appears to be as it has a lid with a hole in it) with a two leaf pattern (leaves turned downward) above the product stamp and the number 5 above the leaf pattern. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, and the glaze is good to excellent. How old is it, there is no date on it, although the stamp says "Red Wing, Union Stoneware Co., Red Wing, Minn." What is it’s estmiate worth, and where do we sell it? Thanks~Mary
Answer: Mary, you have a 5 gallon Minnesota Stoneware Company butter churn which was produced between 1895 & 1906. Value is in the range of $275 with lid. Best place to sell at this time would be eBay. Good luck. Al Kohlman
