Question:
I have a "Big Boy", Water Cooler. I think it is a 10 gal. it is 18" high and 12" wide at the inside top opening. it is in great condition. Not sure what "decorations" mean but the marking on it are as follows: Water Cooler in blue with 6" redwing below. Stoneware emblem below the redwing and spout hole below that. The oval emblem type designates it as a Zinc glazed Water Cooler from 1917-1918. I am looking for an estimated value on this piece. It is for sale. William

Answer: William, if you look at the inside bottom of your Red Wing water cooler, there should be a number in blue. This number will tell you the gallonage of your cooler. With a 6 inch wing, it could be a 5, 6, 8 or 10 gallon cooler. With what I can see here, an estimated value in perfect condition would be around $600 to $700 depending on size. Al Kohlman
