My grandfather used this 30 gallon crock at his cider press. It is in good shape with no cracks. I would love to get an estimate and any advice on the best channel to sell it through. I know that the shipping on it would be expensive as this thing weighs a lot! Thank you for your help. Karla

Answer: Karla, you have a heck of a nice Red Wing straight sided ice water. If you are going to sell it, you need to clean it up. You can use a good detergent and have at it. It will not hurt the glaze. If your 30 gallon Ice Water is free of all chips, cracks or hairlines, it can fetch $2000 to $2500. But it needs to be cleaned up and in perfect condition. Like I said, one heck of a nice piece. The best place to sell it would be in the Red Wing newsletter ad section. Second best would be eBay. Shipping on this beast would run $300 to $350. So if a buyer has to pay for shipping, the price will go lower. So make sure you list were you live in hopes you are close enough for a collector to travel to your place to pick it up.
