Answer: John, your 5 gallon Red Wing Ice Water in mint condition and the way I see it (without a lid) would have a value between $700 & $800 in today’s market. If the lid is Red Wing and in mint condition, I would strip it with paint stripper. The value on a mint 4 gallon Red Wing (this is the size that would fit a 5 gallon Ice Water) button lid is around $200. Now as for the right time to sell. Answer, any time the price is right. The Red Wing convention in July has the most collectors looking for ware. However, the competition is high as well. Good luck in whatever you choose to do. Al Kohlman
