Question:
We have a redwing 5gal crock with a small wing. It also has a lid too. Whats the value diff. between large and small wings? We also have a 10gal crock (large wing)with metal/wood handles but no lid. THANKS!

Answer: The small wing crocks are a later produced crock. Collectors (most) like the earlier crocks and their larger decorations. Value can range anywhere from $25 to $100 difference depending on how large the wing (4 1/2 to 6 inch) and how well the decorations are applied. A small winged 5 gallon Red Wing can range in value between $50 & &70. The lid would have a $150 value. These values are for mint pieces. Any damage and the value will go down. A 10 gallon with a 4 1/2" wing would have a value between $100 & &125 where a 6" wing could fetch $150 to $180. Again, all depends on how well the decorations are applied and the beauty of the piece. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
