Question:
I have a grey stoneware 2 gallong jug with blue, white,blue stripes around sides near top and near bottom with blue crown marking on lower side. The large, drum-shaped stoneware has wooden handles on both sides attached with wire that I believe are original for lifting the piece. Bought in Ontario. Also huge stoneware piece 2 feet high with large blue 10 on side and marking "Redware Stone Mason Co. and an illegibe line. Sorry no photos. Thanks, Myrna
Answer: Myrna, your 2 gallon jug is a crown and not a Red Wing piece. Also, the Redware Stone Mason Company is also not a Red Wing piece. Not being Red Wing, I do not have any knowledge on their history or values. Sorry. Al Kohlman
