Answer: All the crocks which have the wire handles will be stamped: Patented Dec 21st, 1915. This patent date was used when Red Wing placed wire handles on their crocks. Once these handles were patented, no other stoneware company was allowed to copy this style of applied handles. Red Wing did not place handles on their 2, 3, 40, 50 or 60 gallon crocks. Al Kohlman
