Question:
I have a dozen Redwing crock jars with metal lids. Most of them are in excellent condition–no cracks or nicks. They were in my parents basement in Nebraska–so well preserved. Some of them are quart and some are 1/2 gallon(or gal., I’m not sure). Some have the date 1899 on the bottom and say Redwing in blue letters. My question is –what are they worth? Ruby
ANSWER: Ruby, you have the Red Wing stone mason jars. The 1/2 & & qt sizes in mint condition in today’s market have a value around $225 each. The one gallon in mint condition with nice blue markings has a value between $750 & $1000 each. I would make sure I knew which size you had before I offered them up for sale. Al Kohlman
