We bought this crock at a auction wanting to know a little bit more about this piece and if its worth anything.

Answer: The Red Wing stone mason jars came in 1 gallon, 1/2 gallon & 1 quart sizes. The labels can be found in black or blue ink. I would guess yours to be a 1/2 gal or 1 qt size. In mint condition the value would be around $225 for either of these two sizes. The 1 gallon size in mint condition will run around $850. Most of these jars can be found with a Jan 24, 1899 patent date on them. Al Kohlman
