Question:
We have a #6 stoneware crock with 2 connected leaves labeled Union Stoneware Co Red Wing Minn in an oval medallion under the leaves. It has no cover and no other marking but is in perfect condition. The color of the leaves is light to medium blue (not the dark blue I have seen online). We inherited it and have no idea about the age or value but would love to know whatever you can tell us about it. Thank you. Paula
PS It has what you have marked as the "Union oval"
Answer: Sounds like you have a 6 gallon Birch leaf crock which was manufactured by the Minnesota Stoneware Company between 1895 & 1906. In mint condition the value today is between $50 & $75 depending on how well they applied the decorations. Al Kohlman
