Hi, I have the chance to purchase a 2 gallon crock that is in good condition, no cracks or chips. It has the number 2 and then below it the oval mark but no red wing. Is this worth more than the regular markings and harder to find or not as valuable? What would be a fair price to purchase this crock for? Thanks, Ken

Answer: Ken, yes a 2 gallon Red Wing crock with just on oval is worth quite a bit more than the standard 2 gallon Red Wing crock with wing & oval. In mint condition the 2 and oval being balanced on the front of the crock. all stencilling being dark and clear, I would say a price between $250 & $350 would be fair. These are tough crocks to find.
